LongIslander 150x150The Long-Islander Newspapers Inc. covers the entire town of Huntington in New York, including 22 communities and 8 public school districts with its 3 weekly community newspapers: The Long-Islander (founded in 1838 by the famed poet and newspaperman Walt Whitman), The Record (born in 1992 following a corporate merger) and the Half Hollow Hills Newspaper (which made its debut in 1997) and a weekly publication on arts, entertainment and history:The Northport Journal. Each newspaper serves its area as a herald of news, entertainment and sports, with in-depth coverage of local issues, politics and crime, a newly introduced Life&Style section and top-notch coverage of local high school teams, youth leagues and locally-bred collegians and professionals.
