A consultant’s consultant, Debra Hazel is a media professional with a focus on international retail and commercial real estate, while continuing to write about the industry for various publications. Her specialty: placing her clients’ stories within a broader national and international context.
As Executive Editor of Chain Store Age and Editor-at-Large of Shopping Centers Today, the monthly magazine of the International Council of Shopping Centers, she traveled the world to report on the growth of retailers and shopping center industry abroad. Debra now uses that specialized knowledge and relationships with media to provide corporate clients with a global business perspective on their communications. Clients include Butler Enterprises, Fung Business Intelligence Centre, The Massimo Group, Douglas Elliman Real Estate’s Retail Group, NYCREW Network, First American Title, CI Design, Reed MIDEM, Primestor Development, The Breton Group, Lapin Consulting Group, Paramount Realty Services, Nakheel Shopping Malls, Stanbery Development and more. She is the public relations strategist at Woodcliff Realty Advisors, a consortium of consultants serving retail and real estate companies around the world.
She continues to write and provide industry analysis, writing and editing books for the International Council of Shopping Centers, and serving as the editorial consultant and retail columnist for Mann Publications.
